A late 18th century 'Act of Parliament' wall timepiece, Ebenezer Cavit, Bedford, the repainted 25 inch Roman and Arabic dial within a moulded bezel over a long trunk, the door decorated with an applied print within gilt highlights, to a shaped foot, the weight driven movement with shaped plates and five-wheel train with anchor escapement and long pendulum. Height 157 cm
