A good late 18th century English mahogany wall timepiece, the 20 inch painted wooden dial with a moulded bezel and original heart-shaped brass hands (minute with old repair), over a long trunk with shaped side pieces below the dial, half length door and concave shaped base, the weight driven movement with tapering plates united by four heavy turned knopped pillars, the narrow diameter barrel with large great wheel to an anchor escapement and long pendulum (suspension spring broken), with original brass-clad oval-section weight.
