An unusual early 19th century quarter chiming mahogany longcase clock, the hood with tall architectural pediment over a reeded frieze and freestanding columns, the long trunk door flanked by matching quarter columns, on a base with inlaid satinwood and ebony oval, the 12 inch circular silvered Roman dial with minutes marked in 10s, with subsidiary seconds dial and strike/silent levers, the substantial weight driven eight day movement with anchor escapement striking the hours on a single bell and chiming the quarters on nest of eight bells and hammers, 2.51m
