Whitelaw, by officers of the Northern Territory section of Overland Telegraph as a mark of Esteem on His Promotion to another branch of the civil service, port Darwin Sept. 1881,' within engraved scroll cartouches of fruit and flowers and a beaded leaf and shell rim raised on three ball and claw feet fitted case.
