Extremely rare yellow Pounamu adornment, both beautiful and powerful, this adornment would have signalled the mana and high rank of both the creator and the owner. Its fine elongated form is without doubt the work of a master craftsman. For ceremonial practice in the sacred production of the finest muka, the adornment would be applied to the making of the most complex and finest of chiefly cloaks used to forge political alliances and communicate rank and status.
