Rare Moa bone harpoon head, bone harpoon head with a single barb. Appearance of the second barb accidental, due to careful levelling of the back to accommodate shaft. Hole hand drilled for reattachment. Six types have been recorded. Eldson Best, recognised expert and author on the subject describes this as variety two. Found in Banks Peninsula 1957.
