An exceptional German Parcelgilt silver cup and cover, Augsburg Circa 1665. Of cylindrical form, the body chased with busts of the Roman Emperor's Cicero, Traianus (Hadrian) Lysimachus in cameos surrounded by chased fruit. The cover chased with the busts of the Roman Emperors Cassius, Phobus and Anthony between chased fruit and with finial in the form of a putti holding a cornucopia. Marked underneath and on cover. 240 mm height x 110 mm base.
