An Exhibition quality pair of Sevres style gilt brass mounted porcelain lidded vases signed F. Tublet, 19th century, each of slender ovoid form, inscribed beneath the cover 'Offert Par Le Duc de Richelieu a Madame de Comporn' and painted with a central cartouche depicting courting lovers in a garden setting, with an opposing landscape scene, the whole richly decorated with raised gilt highlights and floral swags on a Bleu du Roi ground, flanked by foliate cast gilt brass handles, beneath a domed cover with a cone finial, raised on a stepped socle with a chamfered square gilt brass foot, underglaze blue factory mark beneath cover, gilt factory mark beneath the foot.
