Robert Prenzel (1866-1941) and Johann Treede Victoria, dated 1898, stamped manufacturer's mark A rare oak hall chair, carved in the Gothic Renaissance style with acanthus leaf panels, the central back panel depicting a preening stork standing amongst bulrushes, the seat rail inscribed with the date 1898, stamped Treed & Prenzel / Sturt St Sth Melb / European Labour / Only beneath the solid seat.
