A rare large Australian cedar dresser, circa 1830, the upper section with a moulded cornice above three shelves with faux cock beading and fitted with plate racks, the lower section with two long and one central short drawer with matching faux cock-beading above an open pot stand, raised on a plinth base;. Width 202 cm. Depth 68 cm. Height 227 cm; note, the base had at some time been enclosed by cupboard doors like those seen in later Colonial dressers made from pine, but originally it looked like this.
