A Regency mahogany and satinwood banded pianoforte, by Thomas tomkison, circa 1804, the case raised on square tapering legs, serial no. 454, dated 1804; 230 cm long, 144 cm wide, 93 cm high; Note The increased tension on the string creates what is know as 'the English tilt' but this has been compensated for by tuning it one tone less than normal.
