A French late 19th century ebonised jewellery casket of architectural design, the casket with a figural surmount of a wood gatherer with a drinking vessel in his hand, above a broken pediment with shaped sides, with panelled doors to the interior fitted with six small drawers with applied plaques, the enamel depicting ten faces, barley twist glass columns at four corners with a single shallow drawer to the square based the whole on a platform base with bracket feet, silver mounts and embellishments, including enamel panels of courtship and rural scenes of young men and women in period costume;.
