A pair of famille-rose vases and a cover, Qing dynasty, 19th century, each of baluster form decorated with cranes, kingfishers and other water birds reserved on a ground of lotus blooms and foliage, between a band of crested waves around the base and a lappet border beneath leaves on the tapering mouth, one only matching domed cover surmounted by a Buddhist lion knop; vase 42 cm, the vase and cover.
