A velvet and satin lined steel jewellery box for travelling, the property of her Highness the Maharani of Nawanagar, maker S. Tajbhai & Sons, Rajkot (Kathiawar) with 4 lever lock (two keys). Interior of maroon velvet and pleated gold satin, 4 concertina trays, two shaped for necklaces, drop down front, two pull out drawers (one with shapes for bracelets), mirror under lid. Handles on either side for lifting, decorated with gold coloured lines, motifs and marked 'M.K.M. Dhrangadra'. Length 34.5 cm. Width 24 cm. Height 18 cm
