Description:
Bechstein Semi Concert Grand Piano [Serial number 50874] (circa 1900) * 2.225 meters length * Rosewood case * Perfect original ivory keyboard. * Piano fully restored with the very best materials. * Re-pinned with West German Stimmnagel tuning pins. * Re-strung with West German strings. * All new West German Abel hammers and rollers. * French damper felts. * Trimmed with Bechstein blue trimming felts. * Case stripped and repolished professionally, by hand. Provenance: This piano was bought new by the nuns at Presentation College, Windsor, and had been in the convent since 1900 until sold 12 months ago to begin restoration. The piano has now been restored to its' former glory. A new model Bechstein of this size now costs in excess of $150,000.00. This is a rare and beautiful musical instrument in both touch and tone with all Bechstein features. It is unlikely that there would be more than a handful of this model in Australia
