Greg Chappell's Australian 1972 'Baggy Green' test cap, green wool, with embroidered coat-of-arms & '1972' to front, endorsed inside 'G.C.1'. (no button on Crown). Greg Chappell played 87 Tests 1970-84, including 48 as Australian Captain. Ex English policeman and cricket umpire, Chris Read, together with folder containing 27 years correspondence tracing the provenance of this cap, including features in 'Bristol evening post' and on British Tv. Finally a photograph of the cap endorsed 'This cap Was Presented by Me to the late Cecil Butler on the Tour of England in 1972. Yours Sincerely, Greg Chappell'
