1842 engraving, 'Cock of the Green', taken from Kay's Edinburgh Portraits. Shows a gentleman golfer about to strike a ball with other golfers in the background, size 15 x 25 cm. Also included are 10 pages of text which accompanied this engraving in the original work, about 8 pages on the history of golf in Scotland, and 2 pages on the Cock of the Green, whose real name was Alexander M'Kellar who played his golf on Bruntsfield Links with something like an obsession.
