A fine Gandharan sculpture of a Bodhissatva, 3rd century AD, of Museum quality, the grey schist sculpted in fine detail in the form of a Bodhisattva, seated in dhyanasana above a lotus flower pedestal with hands in dhyana mudra, dressed in flowing robes adorned with garlands and jewellery, the fine featured visage with benign expression and down cast eyes backed by a circular nimbus, consistent even weathering, intact, 23 x 20 cm note: for a similar example cf.
