1926 Armstrong-Siddeley Short 18 rolling chassis Chassis no. 41105Engine no. 19248 The vendor informs us that the earliest records of this vehicle are its use in Queensland by a pineapple farmer in the form of a ute. A second owner removed the body and began restoration on the vehicle sometime in the 1970s. The engine has had some external attention and was last known to be running in the mid 1980s, though the internal condition of the engine is currently unknown. At that time it was fitted with 4 new tyres and the generator appears to have been reconditioned. The owner's business experienced financial difficulties and Chassis no. 41105's restoration was halted. It was set to rest in storage for some 20 years.Several of the the body panels remain, in varying states of condition, namely two doors, front mudguards and the engine floor. This lot is sold strictly as viewed.
