A Meissen chocolate cup and saucer, superbly painted in the manner of Johann Georg Heintze German, Circa 1735 Saucer 13 cm diameter Reference: Wark collection #221 for a very similar cup and saucer by Heintze, and #224 for an example with a scene on the river Elbe, with Meissen to one side. This scene is in the same feel, and judging by the river craft may indeed be another location on the Elbe, the Saxon river responsible for the trade and prosperity of the region.
