A Pair of English hexagonal plates, decorated in the Chinese export manner English Circa 1810 With a central armorial device consisting of a field of three stars on a blue ground, supported by two lions, a mermaid above the knights helmet at the top, holding a mirror in one hand, a comb in the other, a banner below reading Tout Prest. Arms of Murray of Polmaise. Once thought to be bow, these interesting plates were English made replacements for a large Chinese export service of the 1750s.
