An English sterling silver mounted emu egg cup and cover, maker's mark Samuel Hayne and Dudley Cater London, retail mark for brush and MacDonnell Melbourne, ovoid the body with a scalloped silver rim rising to a domed cover with a grape and vine cast handle raised on a tripartite standard cast as the legs of an emu raised on a platform base gilt wash interior (hairline cracks to emu egg) 24 cm high.
