Arild Rosenkrantz (1870-1964), Salute to the Sun, signed Arild Rosenkrantz 1935 pastel 149 x 69 cm. Note: Arild Rosenkrantz was a symbolist painter who was also skilled in the Art of bronze sculpture and stained glass. In 1896 at the decorative stained glass Company in New York Rosenkrantz worked on the Gallatin window and designed a window for Tiffany. Other commissions included twelve large panels for the ceiling in the dining room at Claridges Hotel London as well as stained glass windows and bronze sculptures for a number of English churches and castles
