Grecian arm chair This modified Regency Greek revival style kauri armchair May have been intended as a 'Carver' for the head of the table. Correctly upholstered in black leather it was more likely to have been a fireside chair for 'The man of the house'. This is a rare and unusual variant of the Greek or Klismos chair more common as a dining chair without arms. It is the only known example of this type of chair being upholstered, and in this regard is a rare colonial example of a variant of the Trafalgar chair.
