Serpentine box seat c.1880 raised on well-proportioned bun feet, with original carpet top and nicely mottled solid kauri front, this very unusual box commode is a level above its more common and plainer contemporaries, the original interior has been removed some time in the past rendering this a useful storage device, the existence of the original carpet insert is rare.
