Unusual but important group of Metal Stencils used for painting the platform signs at Sydney suburban platforms, all 57 x 48.5 cm: 'Nos 16 and 17 - Town Hall, Wynyard, North Shore Line', 'Nos 18 and 19 - Homebush, Parramatta, Liverpool, Hornsby via Strathfiled, Bankstown', 'Nos 20 and 21 - Museum, St James, City Circle', 'Nos 22 and 23 - East Hills, Illawarra Lines'. All also have pointing hands on the stencils. This group is presented with the original stencil backing board. Generally good condition. (5)
