A Hardwood Presentation Box Gifted To Lieutenant General Sir John Monash, 1924 the Japanese wooden box with an embossed oval silver plaque showing an image of the H.I.J.M.S 'Ibuki' against a background of the rising sun, the reverse with a siver plaque inscribed 'Presented from Vice Admiral Shichigoro Saito to Catalogue Note a card with the following inscription is contained within the box ' H.I.J.M.S 'Ibuki', launched at the Kure Naval Dockyard in 1907 was scrapped in accordance with the decisions of the Washington Conference. She performed memorable deeds in the Indian Ocean in convoying' Anzac' during the World Great War, 1904 - 15. The case is made of pieces of her armour backing wood.Lt.
