An Australian blackwood and upholstered double ended sofa Circa 1850, the horizontal back with carving to each end above swan necked arms with scroll carving raised on inverse tulip short, raised on turned feet with brass castors, 220 cm wide, 77 cm deep, 90 cm high. Provenance: Bona Vista, Avoca, Tasmania; Purchased at the contents sale of Bona Vista in 1921, the property being sold the same day, by local farmer Mr Vernon Ransom; Thence by descent to his daughter Ms Vera Ransom; Thence purchased in 2008 by the present owner.
