A fine quality Japanese cloisonne vase. Meiji period. C.1910. Baluster shaped in standard cloisonne with a pattern of birds in a flowering prunus on a deep cobalt blue translucent enamel ground. Hall marked silver rim and foot, unsigned but of the high quality produced by leading workshops i.e. Ando, Shibata, Hayashi, Kodenji. Height 15 cm
