An ivory netsuke, late 19th/early 20th century, signed Gyoku. An unusual well carved study of a Fukurokuju with extremely elongated cranium. He is seated holding his leaf fan while a young karako with inlaid hair tufts cleans his ear with a pick. Old New Zealand collection. Height 5.2 cm
