Description:
A stag antler and ivory netsuke. Late 19th century, signed Tomoichi' a well carved study of a seated Daruma cross legged with raised arm. A young boy clambers over his head to feed him with bowl and spoon. An unusual piece in that half the boy's body is carved from an ivory plug that fills the marrow cavity. Old Australian collection. Height 4.8 cm
