An ivory mid-19th century netsuke, signed Kogioku. An exceptional shibayama manju netsuke depicting Urashima opening his box of treasures (or horrors), the shibayama inlay is in excellent condition. Pearl shell cord hole and signed on an inlaid shell tablet. Original red number 5911 from the Gilbertson collection. Diameter 4.9 cm
