A Wooden Smoking Set. Edo Period. Japanese. Early 19th century. A rare tonkotsu (smoking set) carved from a section of giant bamboo and the pipe in a bamboo node case. The lidded box deeply carved with a mountain landscape scene and the kiseruzutsu similarly carved. The pipe with cast silver tiger motif ends. Bone ojime. Pipe case Length 21 cm
