A very rare necklace of Japanese Ojime beads. 18th/19th century. In various materials of lacquer, ivory, cloisonne, agate, bone Negoro and porcelain and having fifty four beads, each bead is a miniature work of Art, these beads were used and worn as a cord restrictor in the Inro ensemble or tobacco pouch etc. Mostly from the Edward Gilbertson collection.
