An Ivory Netsuke. 18th/19th century. Unsigned. A well carved study of Kwanyu (celebrated 12th Century Chinese General) standing pulling on his beard with a thoughtful expression. He has his halberd at his right side and wears a finely patterned robe. A good example of the popular subject. (carved from a curved tusk section). Old English Collection. Height 7.4 cm
