A Maori carved lamp base with a later Kowhaiwhai patterned shade. Attributed to Reverend Leonard (Wairarapa), the domed base, with six stylised masks and raised on three bun feet, supports a central column of figures, all with paua insets to the eyes. Overall. Height 57.5 cm
