Old Maori War Gun, 19th century Probably a cut down hammer action shot gun. Has some markings and the words 'Not for Ball' on the barrel. (Used by a Maori warrior possibly in battles with the British soldiers). On the wooden butt is carved the name 'Tane' and 'Utu' on the other side. The gun is in distressed condition and all working parts are jammed up. Length 86 cm
