A rare Hongmu and Huali large decorative screen, dramatic cloisonne panel (rare in this size) in strong colours depicting a lakeside pavilion on a cloudy day with cranes flying overhead with a poem or commendation top left, the pavilion by a bridge and rocky outcrops overlooks the lake to a further pavilion, the elaborately carved wood frame and base has peaches (wisdom) and pomegranate fruit (many Sons) amongst scroll work and archaic symbols. Framed size of panel: Height 130 cm. Width 100 cm
