A Large Spectacular Cloisonne Censer, With domed cover in cloisonne, gilt fretwork inlaid external jades and coral. The sides of high lid pierced carved with dragons, inlaid jade medallions and a monster half bird and half man with wings and horns. The ridges surmounted by young gilt dragons to a top knob of the Wheel of Life. The base with wide rim to rectangle, with central cartouch of two dragons chasing flaming pearl, surrounded by coral beads, in turn more gilded decor on sides. Jade dragon handles on shorter sides to the foot of stylized cloud decor with protruding masks and monsters on corners of lakes. The whole a vision of extraordinary, decorative lavishness.
