A Magnificent Royal Shan Alabaster Buddha, c.18th Century, of museum significance, seated in dhyanasana above a lotus pedestal with beaded rim, his hands in bhumisparsa and dhyana mudra, his fingers adorned with rings, wearing a diaphanous sanghati decorated with floral motifs and central lotus flower, his visage of fine features and serene expression below an elaborate crown, mineral polychrome earth pigments, of superb detail and condition, Burma, 93 x 60 cm.
