A Magnificent India Sandstone Stele Of Vishnu, c.11-12th century AD, of museum quality and significance, sculpted in openwork with Vishnu standing in a gateway above a lotus pedestal holding the mace and wheel, flanked by numerous attendants, wearing a beaded girdle and multiple necklaces, his fine featured visage with serene expression below an elaborate headdress with central lion motif and lotus mandorla to the rear, Uttar Pradesh, 105 x 60 cm.
