A wood carved Guang gong (Lord Guang) figure on a pierced carved stand, signed Qing Der, II, the carving depicts a huge framed and long bearded Guan Yu of the three Kingdoms period (220, 265) who is now revered as a God of martial arts, wealth and literature and a dominant deity of Chinese and Tibetan beliefs, personifying honour, loyalty, integrity, justice, courage and strength. note; old wood splits front and back.
