The 'Life of John Coleridge Patteson/ Missionary Bishop of the Melanesian Islands' by Charlotte Mary Yonge (Vols I and II) 1874, together with an interesting leaflet, advertising Navigation classes in the Port of Auckland taken by T.C. Tilly, Navy Lieutenant, Royal navy and a school exercise book belonging to Olive M. Tilly 1893. This contains a copy of a letter sent to the Bishop of Lichfield in 1872 concerning questions and answers regarding the Labour trade around the Pacific. The replies are given by Captain Rogers and the questions probe the ethics of inter- Island Labour trade
