Late 19th century Maori Carved Pipe by Tom Heberley with 9ct. Gold rim and band. Made by Length Christenson and marked [L.C.] and [G.P.] Bowl is a carved face, two curved ear pendants, facial tattoo carving, paua shell eyes and from the mouth a lizard snakes itself around the shaft, his eyes set with small red stones. Good hair delineation and a fringe below the gold rim. Length 14 cm Y13847
