The Alfa-Romeo Giulietta Sprint was officially announced in 1954 as a practical and easy to use small sporting car with the traditional Alfa-Romeo high performance from its 1290cc twin-cam engine. In 1961 the 100,000th example of the Giulietta coupe was produced but the Bertone bodied Spirit was much rarer, only 24,000 being built between 1954 and 1962
