The opening of the Sydney Harbour bridge: Charles Kingsford Smith, Australia's most famous aviator flew a party of politicians, engineers and officials over the bridge on opening day. A Samuel wood real photo postcard of the bridge (titled: North Shore bridge, Sydney, N.S.W.') with Typed 'Carried by 'roplane/Southern cross' and signed by the pilot 'C Kingsford Smith' and others including 'John J.C. Bradfield' (the bridge's designer), 'Philip game' (the Governor), 'John T Lang' (the Premier), 'Sam Walder' (the Lord Mayor) and 'M a Davidson' (Minister for works), 'R.T. Ball' (who had set the Foundation stone in 1925) and two other MLAs, with a gold/deep blue commemorative foil label and 2d and 2d bridge stamps tied by 'Sydney Harbour bridge S.E.Pylon' date stamp and with Newtown delivery cds.
