World War I photographs Australian 6th Light Horse Regiment companion to collection of various size photos all depicting aspects of the 6th LHR's campaigns and activities in Egypt and the Middle East mostly in the latter stages of World War I. Subjects noted including Turkish POWs and POW camps; captured Turkish trains; train stations including Damascus, Romani; snapshots of servicemen playing Rugby in the desert; a sack race in view of the Pyramids; two pics of 'Vancouver bridge'; one of a camel brigade; execution scenes; military graveyards; troops in the field, trenches, with machine guns etc; bombed bridges; an interesting shot of 'Soldiers of the Mecca army'; scenes from Becharri (Lebanon), El Mina, Jerusalem, Jordan. Many of the photos have explanatory notations on reverse including couple with soldier's names L.G.(Louis Gustave) Moll and Henry Moll (Brothers), both Privates of the 34th (and last) Reinforcement.
