A Chinese red pottery figure of a camel, well modelled with upraised head, flared nostrils and arched neck, the back carrying saddlebacks and twisted blankets mounted over rubbed planks, raised on four legs on a rectangular plinth, restorations. Length 28 cm. Height 39 cm. Provenance: The collection of David Henwood, University of Wollongong thermo luminescence dating report. Apparent age 1,580 years and Northern Wei.
