An early 19th century Scottish mahogany longcase clock, the hood with arched door and foliated carved crest over a long arched door flanked by diagonal reeded panels over a cross-banded and beaded panelled base, raised on turned bun feet, the 12 inch arched painted dial with a female figure in a landscape and floral spandrels, with Roman numerals, with an 8 day movement with anchor escapement and bell striking the hour with subsidiary dials for second and date, the dial inscribed 'Young' 'No Shields', with painted pendulum. Width 49 cm. Depth 24 cm. Height 229 cm
