An Australian Silver Mounted Horse Hoof Inkwell Maker's mark Palfrey Melbourne circa 1900, the hoof mounted with a hinged cover enclosing a porcelain inkwell above a linear engraved sleeve and a horse shoe mount the cover inscribed ''Rainbow' Died November 13th 1913' 13.5 cm wide. Note: G.H Palfrey operated as a jeweller and silversmith in Little Collins Street and Howey Place Melbourne from 1897-1924
